Tom Kurlander has worked in the entertainment and marketing industry for over two decades. Tom began his career as an Assistant Publicist for Columbia Pictures in New York before moving to Los Angeles and a career in front of the camera as a film and television actor, appearing in Young Guns II, Flatliners, Kindergarten Cop and many other films, television shows and commercials. He began his directorial career making documentaries about families for special occasions through his production company, Family Shorts. (Visit: www.familyshorts.com)
In 2007, Tom founded JumpStart Films, a progressive marketing and film company, channeling his filmmaking skills into delivering high-end content for corporate clients, organizations and small businesses. Tom’s directorial work is known for its cinematic style and sophisticated aesthetic, married to strong storytelling and messaging.
Kurlander is also an accomplished songwriter who along with award-winning composer Kyle Simpson, produces original music, scores and jingles for many JumpStart projects. Tom earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Miami University and is a graduate of Shady Side Academy and the Birch Wathen Lenox School in New York.

Debbi Casini Klein has worked as a producer/writer/interviewer in the television and radio industry for three decades. As a producer and executive producer, her many award-winning local shows include “Pittsburgh’s Talking,” “Cappelli and Company,” “Good Day Cleveland,” and “The Morning Exchange” in Cleveland, Ohio. Her national credits include work with PBS, ESPN, ABC News, Good Morning America and The Food Network. As a freelancer, Debbi has produced commercials, telethons, industrial videos, and feature stories for television and radio. She has also works as a media trainer, special events coordinator, and also as a publicist for local authors.
Her accomplishments include 24 Emmy nominations, five Emmy Awards, 12 Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters Awards, two National Gabriel Awards, a National Women in Radio and Television Award (AWRT), a National Telly Award, and National Advertising Age Vanguard Awards.
Head of operations
Sam studied Music Business at Manhattanville College. As Head of Operations, Sam keeps our projects on time and helps maintain the production quality which we’ve built our reputation on. Sam also brings a depth of knowledge and a taste in music that plays an integral role in what we do.
